Most victims of cyberbullying have had suicidal thoughts at least once if not multiple times. About 58% of teens admit that someone has said mean or hurtful things to them online. More than 4 in 10 say it has happened to them more than once. This statement tells you that more people have been victims of cyberbullying than you think. Some people believe that cyberbullying is no big deal and that many people don't experience it, but they are wrong. Cyberbullying is a serious problem in our society that has negatively impacted adolescents and young adults and must be resolved. As many of us know, cyberbullying is the transmission of cruel or hateful texts or images via the Internet or other devices. like cell phones. Rumors are likely to be spread by others via different social media sites. Things like stalking, bullying, threats, harassment, humiliation, and impersonation are all different examples of cyberbullying. Students can experience cyberbullying anywhere they have access to a cell phone or computer. About half of cyberbullying victims are also victims of traditional face-to-face bullying. Cyberbullying can occur in many different places, but it represents a serious conflict within our school systems. Studies from 2006 found that 45% of preteens and 30% of teenagers are victims of cyberbullying during school hours. This is a big problem.
